Managing Change and Ambiguous Loss

During these uncertain and unprecedented times, many folks are experiencing ambiguous loss, broadly defined as loss without closure. This kind of loss can complicate the grieving process and leave individuals with many questions but few answers. For example, some may be grieving the loss of a semester with friends, of a summer experience, or of celebrating a milestone with loved ones in person. In this 90-minute virtual workshop, we hope to create space in which to define ambiguous loss and invite a discussion of ways that people are experiencing and responding to loss. We will also discuss strategies for coping and sources of support. All students are welcome, but please register using the following link, as attendance will be limited.

*Please note that this workshop is intended as a space in which to process grief not related to the death of a loved one. CAPS is working on a different grief and loss support group for that purpose. Please check the CAPS Group Program page for updates.
